Our Purpose

Promises for Women started from a passion to see women transition from challenging and dysfunctional situations to living in total independence and wholeness. We are driven to provide safe homes in the community as well as empowering women to realise their potential, live out their ambitions and contribute positively to society.

The programmes we provide empower, heal and restore our residents from situations that have resulted in them being disempowered, whether from abuse or neglect. Promises for Women is geared to creating doors of opportunity for women who may not have been able to envisage a personal redirection to their path before. We achieve this by providing holistic programmes.

The Promises House is a place of peace, safety and hope for a positive and productive future.

Promises for Women is a housing and support provision for vulnerable women with a variety of needs, such as:

• Homelessness/Rough Sleepers
• Young Women Leaving Care (separate provision solely for Leaving Care)
• Sexual Exploitation
• Domestic Violence
• Substance misuse post rehab
• Ex-offenders
• Low/Mid-level Learning Disability
• Low/Mid-Level Mental Health

We strive to provide a support service which is transparent, guided by clear boundaries and agreed expectations. We embrace all the complexities that our women face and work in partnership with agencies to ensure that our support covers all aspects of their journey to independence and total wholeness.

Our service offers a time limited / planned programme, where women are provided with a safe, positive, homely environment to support them to work towards agreed goals. Promises supports women to live safely and independently in the community.  Promises House\’s of restoration provides a place of peace, safety and hope for a positive productive future.

Our support programmes are tailored to support and work with vulnerable women 18 – 55 years old.   Placements are for a duration of  3 to 24 months depending on situation and level of need.  We aim to ensure that all women benefit from a holistic programme which enables women better decisions and sustain healthy relationships. 

Promises for Women works closely with women to provide links with authorities, organisations and agencies to support with the transition to living and managing their own accommodation independently. 

Promises for Women also provides an outreach service to women who have lower support needs, this service is geared to empower women and advocate on their behalf.

Our provision of key working, outreach and floating support are tailored within the individualised programmes which enable women to reach independence and establish positive strong futures.
